Electronics & Embedded Software Engineers | [ apply now ]

[The role]
Are you looking to gain practical experience in all aspects of the design & development of intelligent, unique electronic based products in a small, innovative enterprise? We're looking for talent individuals to fill openings in one or more of the following areas: Electronic design/development, embedded software & control system software. Vacancies are on offer within our engineer team to work on design & development projects. Opportunities will be offered to individuals showing relevant skills in electronics, embedded system design & development & candidates who posses the ability to work both independently & in small teams.

Permanent & flexible employment positions exist for the right person so we encourage any one interested to apply regardless of personal circumstance.

[Requirements]
Demonstrate knowledge, education or experience in one or more of the following areas:

□ Discrete component based electronic design.
□ Analogue design.
□ Digital circuits.
□ PCB layout.
□ Software coding in C and/or assembler.
□ VHDL programming.

Relevant technical knowledge & skills are vital for these roles but whilst experience &/or advanced study in relevant disciplines will be valued, the most important qualities required for this position are:

□ Independent working
□ Ability to liaise with people

All staff are trained to work within the scope of ISO9001:2000 (TickIT) & are responsible for interfacing to clients & suppliers, supporting clients & reporting to management on the work performed.

[Education & qualifications]
Preferred : National Framework level 4 (Good degree in a technical subject).

Minimum : National Framework level 3 (A2 level) &/or demonstrable work/project experience to level 4.

[Personal qualities & skills]
□ Self-motivating & able to drive tasks forward.
□ Ability to receive instruction & liaise with colleagues.
□ Ability to drive necessary IT tools in order to do the tasks required.
□ Ability to write descriptions, correspondence literature as appropriate.
□ Ability to communicate verbally with team members/suppliers/customers regarding on-going development & progress.
