Having gained a BEng in Electronic & Information Engineering (1st) at HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology) China, Lance then followed his dream of studying at a top electronics university in the UK, obtaining an MSc in Analogue & Digital Circuit Design (Distinction) from Imperial College London.
During his Bachelor degree sandwich course, Lance gained his first taste of the electronics industry in China at the Northeast Research Institute of Electronic Technology. After completing his Masters degree, Lance then returned straight out into industry, this time in the UK working for Sens-Tech Ltd., Ruislip, as a Design Engineer.
During his spare time Lance is a keen tennis player & try's to squeeze in a game at every available opportunity.
On Lance's appointment Steven Kear Programmes Director at AND commented "…it's crucial for any organisation to bring in fresh talent, but for a innovative design company it's imperative - in order to keep up with technology change. Lance is clearly a talented individual & has all the creative ingredients to be an excellent engineer". Lance said "I'm really excited about my new role & can't wait to put a lot of the skills I've been studying into practice".
Indeed Lance has already been hard at work, playing a significant role in a project involving a RF remote design in addition to playing a key research role into innovative technologies to integrate into a novel energy monitoring product for a client…we'll keep you updated on his progress.
All the staff at AND welcome Lance & wish him much success in his new role.
